Rnd 3: In first st, sc ch2 (this is first dc of every round throughout)
1 dc in same st.
*1 dc in next st. 2 dc in next st*. Repeat from * to * to end. sl st.

Sl st.

Rnd 5: *2dc in first st. 1 dc in each of next two sts*. Repeat from *

Ring: without breaking yarn, make a snug sc in the ring and pull yarn
tight enough to be secure. Make 20-30 sc in ring (depending on size), sl
st back into potholder at the end. I do this two or three times, in
different sts. Sl st and break yarn. Weave end.
