Small amount of #10 thread in main color (A) & contrast color (B)

Steel hook, size 7

Poly pellets

Nylon sack, needle, and sewing thread.

• Gauge:

Gauge is not critical. Work fairly tight.

• Finished size:

"Official" footbags should be:

Diameter: Minimum: 2.54cm (1.0 inches) - Maximum: 6.35cm (2.5 inches)

Weight: Minimum: 20g (0.71 ounces) - Maximum: 70g (2.47 ounces)

• Notes:

Work in continuous rounds. When changing colors, strand unused color in back.

Stuff with poly pellets in a sack (a bit of nylon hose works well).

Start with color A

Rnd 1: Ch 2. In the second chain from the hook, 6 sc.

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc. (12 sc)

Rnd 3: (2 sc, inc) 4 times. (16 sc)

Work now with both colors A and B.

Rnd 4: (inc A, inc A, sc A, sc B) 4 times. (24 sc)

Rnd 5: (3 sc A, inc A, sc A, inc B) 4 times. (32 sc)

Rnd 6: (6 sc A, inc B, inc B) 4 times. (40 sc)

Rnd 7: (6 sc A, 4 sc B) 4 times. (40 sc)

Rnd 8: (6 sc A, sc B, inc B, sc B, inc B) 4 times. (48 sc)

Rnd 9: (6 sc A, 6 sc B) 4 times. (48 sc)

Cut color B.

Rnds 10-14: 48 sc A.

Rnds 15-16: (6 sc A, 6 sc B) 4 times. (48 sc)

Rnd 17: (6 sc A, dec B, dec B, 2 sc B) 4 times. (40 sc)

Rnd 18: (6 sc A, 4 sc B) 4 times. (40 sc)

Rnd 19: (6 sc A, dec B, dec B) 4 times. (32 sc)

Rnd 20: (2 sc A, dec A, 2 sc A, dec B) 4 times. (24 sc)

Cut color B. Work only with color A.

Rnd 21: (2 sc A, dec A, dec A) 4 times. (16 sc)

• Stuff: put nylon sack in footbag, add poly pellets, sew top closed.

Rnd 22: (dec, 2 sc) 4 times. (12 sc)

Rnd 23: (dec) 6 times. (6 sc)

Sl st in next stitch. Finish off, leaving a long tail. Weave tail around last round of stitches and pull tight to close holes. Weave in end.
