Age & Treachery Racing, Ltd - Hong Kong

by Nigel Kat

Just a line to say the old crocks of ATR Ltd., HK Branch, are dragging themselves and their cars over to China this weekend for some dusty track time and dastardly rule-bending.

Kunz has a murderous full-race trick motor in his BGT; the cheery US attorney has also invested in a Porsche 911 2.4 which Jurgen Barth has been coaching him - and 25 other Porker pilots - to drive at track velocities the last 3 days.

Peacock is sadly not racing in '97 and has sold NKat his sorted MGB roadster. Kat has put a new "fast road" engine in that.

Surrency's Morgan isn't ready.

A Caterham Super Seven 1700 Supersprint will be driven by Jurgen [the German] Wirth.

Steve Laister has a BGT fair of face, if not pace quite yet.

Mike Humphries has arranged an Alfa 1750 GTV which should be hard to beat in Class A (1800cc or 126 bhp/1000 kg).

And various Minis, Mustang, TVR, Porkers and others.

Photos and scurrilousness to follow, not least the attempt of the Chu Kong Shipping Lines' captain of the TurboCat "Hai Yang" to kill us all in the foggy HK harbour on Tuesday morning by impaling the vessel on the nose of a vehicle ferry whilst maintaining 25 knots.

So, watch this space for tales of speed, sorrow and overheating.
