The Hutchinson Sisters
In the "Walkup Papers" is an affidavit giving by Thomas and Samuel Faulkner to Col. Samuel H. Walkup, near Craigsville Post Office, South Carolina. Aug. 31, l858.
"My recollection of the relations of Gen. Andrew Jackson and our own was there were six sisters called Hutchinson, who came from Ireland before the Revolutionary war several years, and were married as follows:
Margaret intermarried with George McCamie, who settled on the north side of Waxhaw Creek in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
Molly (Mary) intermarried with John Lessley and lived in Lancaster Dist. South Carolina, on Camp Creek, about two and one-half miles from the Lancaster Court House.
Sarah intermarried with Samuel Lessley and settled on the north side of Waxhaw Creek in North Carolina.
Jenny (Jane) intermarried with James Crawford and settled near Waxhaw Creek in Lancaster Dist., South Carolina, on north side of said creek.
Betty (Elizabeth) intermarried with Andrew Jackson, father of Gen. Andrew Jackson, president of the United States.
Grace intermarried with James Crow, who lived near Landsford, South Carolina.
We are the grandsons of Sarah and Samuel Lessley and are Thomas and Samuel Faulkner, 71 years old on the sixth of November, 1858 and Samuel Faulkner, 68 years old."

The Colonial and State land grants and deeds reflect the above affidavit as shown.
1. Margaret married George McCamie. He purchased 220 acres of land on Jan. 13, 1766, located on the north side of Waxhaw Creek, about one-quarter mile northeast of Samuel Lessley in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
2. Mary married John Lessley. He had a tract of land granted on October 16, 1766. This land was located on Camp Creek, on Molly Moore branch, north of Lancaster County Court House, Lancaster County, South Carolina.
3. Sarah married Samuel Lessley. He purchased 175 acres of land in 1767, located on north side of Waxhaw Creek, just across the line in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
4. Jane married James Crawford. His land located on the north side of Waxhaw Creek, the west side of the public road from Lancaster, S.C. to Charlotte, N.C. Across the line in South Carolina.
5. Elizabeth married Andrew Jackson, Sr. They settled on a 200 acre tract of land on Leggit's branch of Twelve Mile Creek about six miles north of Samuel and Sarah Lessley and George and Margaret McCamie.
6. Grace married James Crow. James received a grant in 1768 for 165 acres located near Landsford, South Carolina.
