I am looking for any information on the Givens family in Evening Shade, Arkansas (Given's family home) and the HOODS from TN.  My Grandfather, James R. Givens, was the son of William Neil Givens and a brother of Margaret E., b.1838, Louisa b.1844, Illeaser Vandine, b. 1835, William A. b. 1840,and Fannie b. 1858. The family migrated from SC to Ala. Miss. To Ark. Where Vandine and William joined the Confederate Army at Barren Fork. near Jacksonport AR.
