| What is a DVD? It's an all new digital video format (resembling a audio CD disk - same size) introduced in April, 1997. The advantages: Twice the video quality of VHS, movie theater audio quality, won't wear out, small storage requirements, low purchase prices ($15-$20). You can also rent them at your local video store. Entry level DVD players are available everywhere starting at $75. With your DVD player, you don't need your audio CD player - it plays them too. In computers, DVD drives are replacing CD-ROM drives. Yes, that means you can play a DVD movie on your PC or even a laptop computer. |
