Dear Mr Schreiber

I am writing this letter to you at the request of Dr. Scott McClelland, who requested that I report my experiences and conclusions about Landmark Education and its programs.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in independent practice for the past fifteen years, and I teach graduate level courses in the Theology Department of The University of St. Thomas, a private Catholic university in Houston, Texas. I have been involved with and am familiar with Landmark and its programs for the past seven or eight years, both having taken Landmark programs and serving as a mental health consultant.

My conclusion is that Landmark Education is a high-quality training and consulting organization that operates responsibly and intelligently. I have seen no indications that it operates as a cult or any other kind of distorted, antisocial entity. If at any point I had concluded that were the case, I would have quickly and decisively severed my participation with the organization. I think that Landmark's programs are valuable and intelligently designed, and that the organization performs a valuable service and is not a religious group, a cult, or any other kind of theological entity.

Thank you for the opportunity of sharing my conclusions with you. I hope they are useful,

Sincerely,

Gregory W. Lester, Ph. D.
