TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
I am a Cabra Dominican Sister and have a master's degree in Religious Education. We
Dominicans are committed to searching for truth, and to speaking the truth, as we
understand it. In the world today. With my years of formation and academic studies I
thought I had this handled.
My participation in the programs of Landmark Education was a magnificent revelation. The
theology I had studied and loved so much became rooted in my being. The phrase 'grace
builds on nature' was deepened within me.
I came to understand nature in a very profound way for the first time. The Landmark
Education programs enabled me to understand myself. I saw where guilt and shame come from
and learned how to give these up daily. I gained new insights for old fashioned words like
trust, forgiveness, unconditional love, and fear. With these as a stance in life, renewed
daily , not merely as a notion in my head, I began to more clearly articulate myself as a
woman who is moving forward, creating myself into the future.
Today, I am the Education Director for the Office of the Social Apostolate of the
Archdiocese of New Orleans. My ministry to and with low income families is challenging.
The technology of Landmark Education Programs enable me to relate with Federal agents,
Youth at-risk, Pre-School children in a way that enables all of us to be the best we can
be. The skills of speaking and listening that are so vital in every aspect of life are
deepened and grounded in these programs.
I know many inside and outside the church are skeptical of the programs of Landmark
Education. My experience for the past seven years is that participation is always by
invitation, while the quality of the programs has always been very professional. The
presenters are highly trained women and men who have a profound understanding of human
nature and who have dedicated their lives to making a difference in the quality of life
for human beings.
