Subject: WARNING about Landmark From: TEZV87A@prodigy.com (John Cichowski) Date: 1997/03/27 Message-Id: <5hcr77$1jdm@newssvr01-int.news.prodigy.com> Newsgroups: alt.fan.landmark [More Headers] As a Landmark Forum Graduate I say the following: - I got alot out of it and I think that "I got it". - There is a constant (both subtle and not so subtle) push for you to sign up for the Advanced Course throughout the 3 days and 1 night. (The Tuesday night is the worst.) - They REALLY, REALLY, REALLY need and want you to bring your friends and family. Say in the beginning to yourself and others that you are not willing to bring other people to Landmark Education events until you have time to see the LONG TERM effects it has had on your life! - Don't sign up for the Advanced Course until you finish your Forum in Action (the 10 week seminar that is given "FREE" to you). Believe me if you finish the Forum you will "WANT" to sign up for the Advanced Course. - Don't offer to do volunteer work. Your phone will never stop ringing. Other than the Forum Leaders and a small number of back office support staff, Landmark is staffed by volunteers. My guess is about 95% is volunteer staff. - Landmark perpetuates itself by keeping you involved in their various programs AND by you bringing your friends and family into the seminars. - The best response is to just say "NO." To making any sort of Landmark "committment." "I am unwilling to make any committment right now." - They most likely back down at this time because of the numerous complaints they have received from participants and guests of Landmark Education, Inc. - Send me e-mail if you have any specific questions. - Again, I got my money's worth so if you are already signed up, have fun and listen to the technology it works, but Landmark is corporation that you paid money to, you don't owe them anything.
