~ABOUT OMB~

The Ole Moulton Bank, with its’ original vaults, was constructed & finished in 1900. It was robbed by Bonnie & Clyde every other week for 5 months in 1933. Citizens banded together & raised monumental herds of Hungarian ducks which warned them of their approach, which put a stop to that...... until John Dillinger arrived in 1936 & robbed the bank for $76.33 in cash & checks.  The ducks didn't recognize him .It still retains many of the original features today. Though remodeled in the ‘60’s, it was ‘unremodeled’ by the new owners in 2001. It houses a remarkable collection of vintage & unusual guitars while serving as a local watering hole.  It also houses a 24-track recording studio upstairs. Ole Moulton Bank has hosted an Acoustic Jam Session every Thursday for the past 4 years which becomes increasingly popular with its’ varied songwriters, fiddlers, guitarists, mandolin players & especially listeners. Live music artists and bands are featured on scheduled weekends. They have a large selection of domestic & imported beers & ales as well as a varied wine list. Outdoors has a pleasant seating area for brew sippers & smokers. Inside is a non-smoking environment. Certainly a very unique stop in this small turn-of-the-century town with it’s friendly atmosphere & Bohemian flavor.
