DGRR Railroad

Here are some pictures of the railroad.  As you can see it is a rural setting, not to much in population yet, but the town of Dry Gulch is starting to grow.  The railroad is very active here as you can tell from the first picture.  On this day the town was having a celebration so the train yard was very crowded.

This is the area just rebuilt using the blue Styrofoam road bed method. The area was leveled and a layer of professional gray landscape fabric was place below river level, then the cliff rocks added, the entire area was filled with decomposed granite, watered down several times and then the blue foam roadbed was laid.  I painted the roadbed brown using a can of latex OPPS paint.  The railroad just got the finances to add the ballast but not the time to place it between the ties. 

Near by is the Rocky River area where the local town folks go to spend the day fishing and having all kinds of good fun.
