We had a great time in Great Britain.
After landing in Glasgow, Scotland,
Delilah and I rented a car and drove
to Edinburgh (the capitol of Scotland).
The castle there was awesome.
On the following day, we headed south
to England. Driving on the opposite side
of the road (and car) was not too tough.
I highly recommend seeing England by car.
We visited various major cities, stayed
in Bed and Breadfasts, and saw a lot of
beautiful British countryside.
Here we are at Leeds castle in England.
The castle sits on two islands in the
middle of a lake, surrounded by beautiful
landscaped parklands. Here, Delilah is
four months pregnant with our 1st child.
Leeds Castle
This English castle was transformed
into a dwelling fit for a king by
Henry VIII. Surrounded by 500 acres
of gardens and woodlands, the
grounds host a wide variety of
water fowl including black swans.
For the truly eccentric, the castle
also has a large collection of
medieval dog collars.
