Have a seat!
The split mahagony seats are perfectly fitted over the round pegs at the bulkhead, lazerette, and at the center support. The steam bent coamings make a great backrest and the mahogany is a beautiful wood under varnish. The boom, gaff spar, and jib spar are laying in the cockpit. I haven't screwed down the floorboards yet because I wanted to be able to keep the bilge clean of debris while sanding, sawing, and installing things. The bronze traveler is sitting on the lazerette. Also in view is the bronze boom crotch socket. Many yacht owners can envy the Herreshoff cockpit on this daysailer! Here's another view looking forward ...
