On Deck!

Forward deck is not painted yet, only canvas and epoxy covered at this point.  The toe rails are in place and you can see the bow cleat sitting in its position.  Once the deck is properly painted, I'll bed and bolt the the cleat using a deck plate access hole just behind the cleat (hidden by the coamings in this view).  I curved the molding above the bronze mast band just because I liked the way it adds continuity to the curve of the coamings around the cockpit.  The mast band is a later H12 1/2 design that is one piece and stronger than the earlier one that opens up.  Of course you have to lift the mast and drop it down through the band.  Another deck view below (with lots of mahogany dust) ... shows bow chocks, stem band, cleat, and deck plate waiting for final paint job before installation.
