| In another "essay" I posed the possibility that Jesus never existed. The entire Jesus story could well be a "rip-off" from the many pagan religions of the day. Such an idea might not faze a Hindu or a Buddhist, but to Christians it could be devastating. If faith is Jesus is challenged, what does that do to faith in God? | |
| Christians are accustomed to thinking of God "out there" sending Jesus "down here" to "save us from our sins." But what if God isn't "out there"? What about the possibility that we don't need to "be saved"? | |
| More and more I've come to believe that not only the earth but indeed the entire Cosmos is a living organism, not simply teeming with life but actually itself alive. And sentient. Thinking, and purposeful. In other words, I see the universe as the physical body of God. | |
| And we are part of God. Our "souls" are part of the soul of God, and what we experience, both of good and evil, is God's way of experiencing Godself. Our evolution along our spiritual paths is part of God's evolution and process of becoming. | |
| Far out? You tell me! | |
