2003 BIG D SHOW:
3 GREAT GUESTS of TV/FILM FAME!!!!

MICKEY JONES
While no one will ever forget Mickey Jones as the burly biker on the bus in the Breathsavers commercials, the remainder of his long music and film career is nothing short of remarkable. A native Texan, Mickey began his career as a rock drummer and early on teamed up with Johnny Rivers to record Maybelline, Mountain of Love and Secret Agent Man among other hits. He toured the world drumming for Bob Dylan and played with Kenny Rogers and the First Edition.

After the First Edition broke up in 1976, Mickey embraced acting. His film and tv movie credits include Total Recall, Tom Horn, V-The Final Battle, The Couch Trip, Sling Blade, It Came from Outer Space, National Lampoon's Vacation, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Stir Crazy, Extreme Prejudice, The Beverly Hillbillies and many more. Episodic television also fills his time with regular appearances and guest shots on the likes of Home Improvement, Providence, JAG, Baywatch, Alf, V-The Series, A-Team, M*A*S*H, The Incredible Hulk, Dukes of Hazard, and on and on. Plus Mickey is an accomplished fast draw, gun twirler, horseman, archer, roller skater, scuba diver, motorcyclist, blackjack dealer, musician, singer and recording artist!

Burton Gilliam - Not from New York City

BURTON GILLIAM
Burton Gilliam was born and raised in Dallas where he was a fireman for 14 years prior to become an actor. He says his only "claim to fame" while living in Big D was winning more Golden Glove championships than anyone in history. Boxing was his stage. So when he was offered a co-starring role in Paper Moon (without any acting experience), he quickly accepted. As Floyd, the desk clerk, he received critical acclaim. Mel Brooks liked what he saw in Paper Moon and called Burton at the fire station and offered him a major role in Blazing Saddles. After two unsuccessful negotiations, Gilliam took the part, quit the fire department and moved to LA where he has lived and worked for 23 years. Other movies in which he has appeared include Honeymoon in Vegas, Back to the Future III, Gator, Fletch, The Getaway, Hearts of the West, Wild Bill and many others. His television credits include more than 100 shows. He has also appeared in over 125 TV commercials, including serving as national spokesperson for Pace Food, doing all their Pecante Sauce commercials. "That stuff's made in New York City!" Because of his unique voice, Gilliam was asked by Xatrix and Interplay to star in 1997's highest grossing CD-Rom video game Redneck Rampage, a butt-kickin', gun totin' 3D romp through Hickston USA.
JAMES HAMPTON
Fondly remembered by baby boomers as Bugler Dobbs on the famous F Troop tv series, James Hampton has had a long and distinguished career in entertainment. His film credits include Slingblade, Teen Wolf, WW and the Dixie Dancekings, China Syndrome, Longest Yard, Cat from Outerspace and many other features. Hampton has appeared as a regular in several tv series as well as guest starred on numerous programs, including Dukes of Hazard, Full House, Mary Tyler Moore Variety Hour, Love American Style, Murder She Wrote, Bob Newhart, Rockford Files, Gomer Pyle USMC, Gunsmoke, Mannix, Simon & Simon, and Evening Shade just to name a few.
