This site was created about 10 years ago by me, David Radack, to promote foosball in the D/FW Metroplex. I have been promoting and playing foosball for about 14 years now. Nationally i work with VIFA to in running the professional foosball tour and work with local promoters to help keep foosball active here locally. Regionally I have promoted and run the Texas State Championships of Foosball with Steve Murray since its inception as an independant tournament some 10 years ago. Hopefully this site will increase the awareness of foosball in the Metroplex and get more people to start playing! So far |

After 5 Years we have moved Texas State to a new hotel. The Holiday Inn Select - North will be the new host facility, located at 114 and Esters just east of the airport. It was also The host for the 2007 New Years Open and got rave reviews from the players. As usual we will have a bleachered pit area for Inside Foos, 50+ Brand New Tables, Lights over each table, and all the other perks you've come to know and love at the "4th Major". Also new this year is an upgrade in tournament software. Independent Foosball Promotions (IFP) has joined with us to bring you the cutting edge of tournament software. This should help things run smoothly throughout the weekend. Rooms are filling fast so we sugest you call to lock in your $65 Quad Rate now. The Hotel's number is 972-929-8181 and be sure to request the foosball rate! The new host facility is just the start to many changes this year. First and foremost we are expanding into Monday, Memorial day for the first time. Limited doubles as well as most finals will be played on this day. As usual we will make every effort to accomodate the players needs, and will try to facilitate Sunday Finals matches for those whose travel arangements make it difficult for a Monday final. We anticipate finishing everything but Limited by early afternoon on Monday. Also this year we have substanitally raised the guaranteed payouts. The Rookie and Semi-Pro events have gone up significantly. We have also added 4 new events! Pro Singles, Semi-Pro Mixed, Rookie/Semi-Pro Doubles and Goalie Wars. The Vifa dyp has been Renamed to DYP #2 and will be open to all players though Vifa players will continue to play free.
