At some time during MOW, there will be a LYME LINK.
Pieces of ribbon representing Lyme patients, past and present will be joined together. It's time to reach out to our friends, neighbors, cities, states, and other countries and LINK together for LYME AWARENESS!
Lyme Disease Patients can submit their own ribbon or one can be made for them. We are also requesting memorial ribbons for casualties of Lyme disease.
For more information on ribbon colors and specifics, contact maximum@delanet.com
For information about MOW contact loveyonlyme@aol.com
We are asking that you register your ribbon so we will have an idea of the amount to be joined, shipped and handled. We are also seeking volunteers to organize districts and states. To register and/or volunteer, contact intrepids@jps.net. Please use "Ribbons" or "Lyme Link" in subject line & add state abbreviation to facilitate coordination. (If you are receiving this message from an area coordinator, you may register with them.)
This is a great opportunity for us to call attention to the vast number of Lyme Patients!

TO SUPPORT GROUP LEADERS & COORDINATION VOLUNTEERS:
We need a few people from each area and state to coordinate the mailings, joining, transportation and receiving of ribbons. Some suggestions: Use students, scouts and church groups to help join the ribbons from your area together. You may want to contact your local newspaper for publicity coverage of this event. You can also use friends, neighbors & (in some cases - relatives).
To join ribbons: Clear packaging tape, Fabric glue or hot glue. Dritz Liquid Stitch Glue (highly recommended). Velcro (fuzzy end on back of left side of ribbon & sticky end on right front will join correctly) NOTE: Make sure to leave the last ends free so they can be joined in Washington however is decided there. Also, please, no metal of any kind.
Ribbons can also be made for individuals unable
to make their own. For donations to support MOW (March on Washington) and
Lyme Link contact loveyonlyme@aol.com
