The Road To Interzone

The Road To Interzone by Michael Stevens.

The Road To Interzone. Reading William S. Burroughs Reading is an exploratory bibliographic document that seeks to identify books read or owned by American author, William S. Burroughs (1914-1997.)

In this online version you will be able to read, for free, the entire text missing only the section on the Lawrence, Kansas library, and appendices (photocopies, shelf locations, photographs, and index.)

Since the writing of this book the collection consisting of all of the books listed in the section on the CATALOGUE OF THE WILLIAM S. BURROUGHS ARCHIVE has been sold to the New York Library and will eventually be available to researchers and scholars.

The Introduction included here is the best of all of the one's I've written. This one is too chatty but it includes important explanatory notes and acknowledgements. Until a satisfactory one exists the one you have here will have to do.

The Lawrence, Kansas library of books owned by Burroughs at the time of his death is not printed here. There are a few missing entries and until publication of that inventory elsewhere or publication of this book, it's availability should remain at the discretion of the Burroughs estate.

The above photograph is by Jon Blum.
