Mark's Electronic Gallery
Here you will find links to a few of the pictures I've created in various media, both electronic and traditional. The art done with traditional tools were created in pencil, pen and ink, or with acrylic paint. The electronic art was created with a variety of paint programs using either 16 or 256 colors in DOS and Windows.
As time permits, I'll be either adding newer drawings or possibly replacing some of the older images. So check back every once in a while to see what all's been added.
If you've been to my web page on earlier occasions, you might want to take a look at those pictures that sound familiar. All the traditional media images have been rescanned. Originally, the images were scanned using a video camera and a Targa video capture system. These new images were scanned using a flatbed scanner.
First on view is a set of scanned images of some of my "traditional" media. Most of these have been around awhile, but I like them just the same. The three acrylic paintings, listed on the first line, were painted in an art class from photographs from various sources. The rest of the drawings, with the exception of "Justine Bateman" which I was using a photo to go by, are just basically sketches done for my own amusement. Following each link is a description of that particular image. Image size is listed in pixels.
Be sure to close the viewing window before clicking on a new image. For some reason it doesn't resize correctly.
Traditional Media
Next are my non-traditional pictures. These
pictures were created completely on the computer using various paint programs. A couple I
created with a drawing tablet w / stylus, but most were done using a mouse. Personally,
I've found that a mouse is not a very good drawing tool, but I have to admit that I was
disappointed in using the drawing tablet. I'm glad paint programs have a lot of nice tools
for drawing lines and shapes in them.
Some of my electronic creations may be gone
forever. The disk that they resided on now refuses to be read. Some of the images I've
recovered by re-downloading them from CompuServe or AOL, but most are no longer at those
locations. A few I've recovered from other disks that I've been storing graphics on.
Anyway, here they are for your amusement.
Descriptions follow each link.
