IN
THE BEGINNING PART III
The Lord Jesus, who is the Creator of all things
and the fountain of life, was manifested in the flesh. He was sent
for a purpose, one purpose to give us the chance to eternal life.
Without Christ, his death, his resurrection, we would be condemned
to death, eternal death.
Luke 2:11
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which
is Christ the Lord.
John 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld
his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full
of grace and truth.
1 John 1:2
For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness,
and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father,
and was manifested unto us;
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life.
Christ tells His disciples that the Father is the
head, and He had sent Him to instruct and to save mankind. Now the
sender is greater than He who was sent. Explaining the relationship
between himself and the Father while He was on earth, Jesus said,
“My Father is greater than I” This shows us that the
power came from Jehovah, the Father of Jesus Christ. We have 2 spiritual
beings here, not one, but two, one being greater than the other.
John 5:19
Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto
you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father
do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
1 Corinthians 11:3
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ;
and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is
God.
John 14:28
Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto
you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto
the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
There was a purpose for Christ from the beginning
of his existence, from being the Creator, our Sacrifice, the beginning,
and the end. Yet in all the Scripture he Glorified God. Christ made
it clear He could do nothing of himself, the power came from the
Father. Christ came to introduce the Father, to let everyone know
there was another, one more powerful than Him. Prior to Christ crucifixion
his prayer was that all might know Jehovah;
