HOLLOWEEN
PART II
Should Christians observe Halloween?
Leviticus 19:26
'Ye shall not eat anything with the blood; neither shall ye use
enchantment, nor observe times."
Isaiah 47:13-14
"..Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators,
stand up and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee.
Behold they shall burn them, they shall not deliver themselves from
the power of the flame;"
Leviticus 19:31
"regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after
wizards, to be defiled by them; I am the Lord your God."
Leviticus 20:6,27
"And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits;
and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my
face against that sould, and will cut him off from among his people."
"A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is
a wizard, shall surely be put to death;"
Jeremiah 10:2
"Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and
be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed
at them."
Isaiah 1:16
"Wash you, make you clean, put away the evil of your doings
from before mine eyes, cease to do evil;"
Colossians 2:8
"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain
deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world,
and not after Christ."
Romans 12:2
"And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed
by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good,
and acceptable, and perfect will of God."
Ephesians 5:6-12
"Let no man deceive you with vain words; for because of these
things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
Be not ye therefore partakers with them. For ye were sometimes darkness,
but now are ye light in the Lord; walk as children of light; For
the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and
truth; Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowhip
with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of
them in secret."
Now ask yourself after reading the scriptures is
Jesus Christ pleased with this holiday? Can we mix evil and good,
and then laugh at it? Hallowe'en stems from evil, darkness, witchcraft,
satan, how can we, followers of Christ put a stamp of approval on
such a evil holiday. Christians are to have no fellowship with the
unfruitful works of darkness at all. Christians should have nothing
to do with Hallowe'en, the final answer.
