HOLY
DAYS - HOLIDAYS
Holy - belonging to or coming from God; spiritually
perfect or pure; untainted by evil or sin; sacred; spiritually perfect.
Holy Day - a day consecrated to religious observances
or to a religious festival.
Holidays -
a religious festival;
It is apparent then for our holidays, holy days, to be holy, at
least from a holy origin. A day set aside to be observed in honor
of our Lord would have to be nothing but pure. Do you believe we
can mix a little heathen practices with holiness and please our
Lord, and continue to call it Holy? In Jeremiah 10 he makes it clear,
“Learn Not the way of the heathens”. He also says, “Be
ye Holy as I am Holy” 1 Peter 1:16.
Remember Holy
means to be pure, untainted by evil. Shouldn’t we then look
into our Holy Days that we observe in the name of the Lord to make
sure we are worshipping Him in a Holy manner? The Lord made it very
clear He will not accept heathen ways, or practices. So why do we
then continue to allow heathen practices into our Holy teachings?
Maybe we need to search into what we call our Holy Days, to make
sure they are Holy, and that we are worshiping our Lord in a Holy
and pure way. May the Lord guide you into all truths.
