What's the matter with kids today?

From the start, Felix has distinguished himself by his identification with the youth culture. He definitely has no respect for his elders (me, that is). He is loud, rambunctious, self-centered, pushy and rebellious. I thought that, him being a cat and all, we would get along just fine, but his childish games don't interest me a lot of the time, and he gets on my nerves. He just doesn't seem to know when to quit, no matter how much I yowl when he is harassing me. (And unfortunately he is getting bigger every day, so he's starting to be able to knock me over.)
When we are eating, he usually comes over and shoves his muzzle into my bowl and starts chowing on my food. I'm not really the aggressive type, so to keep the peace I eat his baby food. My human doesn't like this, of course, and tries to keep Felix eating out of his own bowl, but the little devil will always manage to squirm over and plant himself down in my place.
And when my human eats, instead of sitting on the floor politely waiting for something, Felix jumps up and parades around on the table. He usually ends up being soaked by the plant mister before he will begrudgingly jump down, a sour expression on his face--and then turn around and jump right back up! This has been going on since Day One and he still hasn't learned.
Felix has shown himself to be a child of the electronic age from the first. He has much more interest in the computer than I do, other than my web authoring. He sits on my human's lap, and instead of sleeping, he stares at the screen, watching the mouse fly around, and tries to type occasionally.
And he just loves watching television! I enjoy the occasional movie, but he'll watch anything. I was extremely disgusted to see him sit there entranced by the Teletubbies. He even tried to catch a couple of them. He also tried to catch our images when my human played a video of the two of us recently.
I must admit, he is a little braver (or more foolish?) when it comes to things like the monster with the hose that my human occasionally takes for a walk around the house. While I won't stay in the same room with IT, Felix will let IT get within five or six cat-lengths before high-tailing it (literally) out of there--and then only to the next safe spot to wait again.
He really is a spring-loaded kitten, though, and my human should probably rename him Tigger in honor of A.A. Milne's bouncy tiger. He has definitely bounced me more than once. I am trying to find creative outlets for his energy, however, and have recently come up with ways to deal with his, shall we say, enthusiasm.
