On October 20, 2001, Nathan and I hiked to the top of Guadalupe Peak, the Texas state highpoint. We carried our U.S. flag with us to fly from the summit in remembrance of those who lost their lives in the World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks of September 11, 2001.
