Last year, I was all into Starcraft: Brood War
until my brother brought home this game called "Rainbow
Six." That is the first of the series of Rainbow Six. I
fell in love with the game and i got pretty good at it. The
one downside of the first one other than some bugs and a fair
AI was that I didn't have a good connection to the internet,
so internet play was really slow. Well, a year later, i got
the newest version of Rainbow Six called Rogue Spear. Right
after i revived the game, my DSL line came in so i finally
had high speed internet. Let the multiplayer times begin. I
was amazed by the graphics, the new weapons, armor, kits, and
some of the most exciting levels I have seen, not to mention
a more powerful tactical planner and harder AI for the bad guys.
Even some of the smallest details have been filled in such as
rain, snow, when it snows or rains you can see your breath,
and peaking ability. The major part of Rainbow Six and Rainbow
Six: Rogue Spear is that its a 1 shot - your dead type of first
person shooter. The point of the game is to complete the missions
and never let a bullet touch you or your team. Compared to Doom
or Quake in which you are constantly getting shot at but only
your health goes down, if you get shot in the leg twice, your
out. I recommend Rogue Spear to anyone who likes to incorporate
tactics into their first person shooting. It is one of my favorite
games.
