Barrett M82A1
|
This is by far the largest most powerful
weapon in the game. A single shot will, if carefully aimed
at the ammo compartment, take out a tank. While there
is no rule that limits the .50 caliber sniper rifle from
taking out a single individual it is usually used to take
out larger objects like cars and trucks with one shot,
which is possible in Rogue Spear. The M82A1 "Light Fifty"
features a semi-automatic rate of fire and a ten round
magazine. One of the more unique things about the M82A1
is .50 browning round it fires. In the real world there
is one type of .50 cal round that features a .30 cal tungsten
armor penetrator, an incendiary tip, and high explosives
all in one round. It would be nice to have this type of
round in Rogue Spear but you only get the standard full
metal jacket and jacketed hollow point rounds. It also
features a 10X or 16X scope. However this rifle produces
massive recoil and it would take a few seconds to engage
another target. Cal: .50 Browning ROF: SS Mag: 10

H&K PSG1
|
When the need arises to take out multiple
individuals from a distance this rifle may be a better
choice than the M82A1. For one thing the recoil of the
PSG1 is not nearly as large as that of the M82A1 so engaging
multiple targets rapidly is possible. However this rifle
is not nearly as powerful as the .50 cal M82A1 and at
greater distances this rifle may not terminate the subject.
However in Rogue Spear it is unlikely a clear line of
sight will exceed 200 meters. This makes the PSG1 the
most accurate sniper rifle in the game. Cal: 7.62 X 51mm

Walther WA 2000
|
This is a truly exotic weapon, only
74 have been produced. Fortunately this is among the finest
sniper rifles in the world. First off, this rifle is not
as long and cumbersome as the PSG1 and M82A1 so aiming
is much easier, largely due to the bullpup design of the
rifle. And second the rifle fires a .300 cal Winchester
round, which is more lethal than the standard 7.62mm rounds
that the PSG1 shoots. Of course the cons of this weapon
is that it is nowhere near as powerful as the .50 cal
M82A1 but then again it was not made to full fill the
same roles as the M95, and second it's not as accurate
as the PSG1. Cal: .300 Winchester ROF: SS Mag: 6
