I got back into motorcycling after a 20 plus year hiatus by buying a DRZ 400 dual sport made by the Suzuki motorcycle corporation.
Since I was meeting more street rides that dual sport riders, I bought a dedicated street bike. The Kawasaki ZRX1100 show above.
Having logged about 20,000 street miles in my lifetime, I am still basically a beginner.
Contrary to popular belief, the ZRX is not a sportbike. It's too heavy, makes modest horsepower by sportbikes standards, but most of all it too damn good looking. At my age I've added a few mods for comfort (bar risers, peg lowering mods, and seat foam).
I would recommend the stock ZRX 1100 for any reasonablly mildly experienced rider wanting to make the jump to a more robust machine.
The ZRX can be easliy modified for performance gains as your needs and abilities increase with time in the seat.
