Welcome to my new web site!

If you're reading this, you're probably either one
of my good friends, or somebody who came here
trying to find out more about me. Either way, I
decided my old web site wasn't doing a good enough
job of reflecting who I am. (That's the problem
with creating a rather "static" collection of
photos and comments on miscellaneous objects and
items of interest..... It gives the impression that
*only* those topics and items shown are of
interest. It would take too much time to keep
adding new menu options and sections to my site, to
reflect anything new I felt like sharing.)
That's where this "blog" comes in. Unlike some people, my aim isn't to build the "next big thing" that everybody wants to read and link to. Rather, it makes for a quick and easy way to keep my web site "fresh" with content - without resorting to redesigning the thing to do it!
This time, I'm building my site using Rapidweaver, a really slick tool for the Apple Macintosh for creating and maintaining web sites. I realize I'm losing some of the "power" I'd have just building a site from scratch with a "real" web design package like Dreamweaver .... but the convenience and time-savings this offers is hopefully worth it!
