Project Inform: Project
Inform is a national, non- profit organization working to alter the course of the AIDS
epidemic. Its mission is: (1) to provide vital information on the diagnosis and treament
of HIV disease to HIV-infected individuals, their caretakers, and their healthcare and
service providers; (2) to advocate for enlightened regulatory, research, and funding
policies affecting the development and delivery of effective treatments and to fund
innovative research opportunities; (3) to inspire people to make informed choices amid
uncertainty and to choose hope over despair.
The Body: The Body's
mission is to Use the Web to lower barriers between patients and clinicians,
Demystify HIV/AIDS and its treatment, Improve patients' quality of life, Foster
community through human connection.
Gay Men's Health Crisis: GMHC
offers hands-on support services to more than 9,500 men, women and children with AIDS and
their families in New York City annually, as well as education and advocacy for hundreds
of thousands nationwide.
AIDS.ORG: The
mission of AIDS.ORG is to make access to HIV and AIDS information on the
Internet faster, easier, and more accurate; and to connect professionals and the
public together to share their knowledge and experiences.
CDC Division of HIV/AIDS
Prevention: CDC's HIV mission is to prevent HIV infection and
reduce the incidence of HIV-related illness and death in collaboration with community,
state, national, and international partners.
MMWR Reports on HIV/AIDS: This site allows you to search for HIV/AIDS publications in the CDC's
Morbidity and Mortality Weekly report.
HIV/AIDS Surveillance
Reports: The HIV/AIDS Surveillance Report contains tabular
and graphic information about U.S. AIDS and HIV case reports, including data by state,
metropolitan statistical area, mode of exposure to HIV, sex, race/ethnicity, age group,
vital status, and case definition category.
AIDSinfo:
AIDSinfo is a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) project
providing information on HIV/AIDS clinical trials and treatment. AIDSinfo is a
central resource for current information on federally and privately funded
clinical trials for AIDS patients and others infected with HIV. AIDS clinical
trials evaluate experimental drugs and other therapies for adults and children
at all stages of HIV infection -- from patients who are HIV positive with no
symptoms to those with various symptoms of AIDS.
UNAIDS-Joint UN programme on HIV/AIDS: As the main advocate for global action on HIV/AIDS, UNAIDS will lead,
strengthen and support an expanded response aimed at preventing the transmission of HIV,
providing care and support, reducing the vulnerability of individuals and communities to
HIV/AIDS, and alleviating the impact of the epidemic.
Marty Howard's HIV/AIDS HomePage: This "personal" page offers a comprehensive list of web links
of relevance to PWHIV/AIDS as well as timely updates of HIV/AIDS in the news.
POZ Magazine: POZ was founded
primarily to get information to HIV positive persons for whom it could extend or improve
the quality of their lives. They also want to create a common media context between
fulltime treatment activists -- the extraordinarily empowered patient -- and those
impacted by HIV who are not going to read the technical newsletters and attend meetings.
Finally, POZ challenges popular stereotypes about what it means to face a life-threatening
illness.

Houston Center for AIDS: The Center for AIDS is an information and advocacy organization,
working to accumulate knowledge and to share information regarding the latest medical
treatments and scientific advances in the field of HIV/AIDS.
AIDS Foundation Houston: AIDS Foundation Houston is committed to improving the quality of life
in the greater Houston community through HIV/AIDS education and social service.
Houston AIDS Info Link: The Houston AIDS Information Link is a collaborative project to improve
access to HIV/AIDS information for patients, health care providers and the affected
community.

Human Rights Campaign: The
Human Rights Campaign envisions an America where lesbian and gay people are ensured of
their basic equal rights - and can be open, honest and safe at home, at work, and in the
