Promgrammer is a Java-based ECM program (binary) editor. It formats, displays and allows the user to modify the parameters of the GM/AC Delco 16198263 (was 1227749) ECM.
This ECM is found in:

1987-1990 2.0 liter Turbo cars (vin code "M"): Sunbird, Skyhawk, Calais, Grand Am and Skylark.
1988 2.3 liter Quad4 cars (vin code "D"): Grand Am, Calais and Skylark.
1991-1993 4.3 liter Turbo trucks (vin code "Z"): 1991 Syclone and 1992-1993 Typhoon.

Promgrammer is intended to provide the Syclone and Typhoon community the best-possible tool for editing the chips of these outstanding vehicles.

You are Downloading a Zip file that contains that actual Prom.jar java executable file.
Please extract the jar file and have java support installed on your machine before attempting to run.

Features:

Full Java2 SDK1.3 support.
Load multiple binaries and switch between them.
Copy and paste (and undo) parameters between loaded binaries.
Generate an exportable comparison between loaded binaries.
Sort by column by double-clicking on the column header.
Switch between available display styles: Metal (Java standard), CDE or Windows.
Stored as an executable file, so can be run by just double-clicking on it.

Licensing:
This program is shareware. If you try it and don't like it, please delete all copies from your computer(s). If you like it and continue to use it, please register it. The registration fees are $10 for non-commercial use (defined as: you don't sell, or otherwise make money from, any chips you make using it) and $50 for commercial use. Your registration fees will be used to support and upgrade this program, so please help your SyTy community by registering.

Installation:
To run Promgrammer, you'll have to install the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) v1.3.1. The JRE can be downloaded from:
Windows version
Linux version or
Solaris version
After the download is complete, run the installation program. For best results, you should remove any old JREs or JDKs first before installing the new Java.
Download Promgrammer and store it in a convenient location. Run the program by simply double-clicking on its icon (like running any other application). For convenience, you may want to make a shortcut to Promgrammer and place the shortcut on your desktop.
Promgrammer will run on any platform supported by JRE 1.3.1. It has been successfully tested on Windows 95, 98, NT v4 and XP, running on Pentium, P2, P3 and P4 processors.
