Climb & Glide Competition:

Date: 06/26/02

Eligibility:  Any "propellor-powered airplane", internal combustion or electric (no Sailplanes or Gliders, CD rules),  Trainer Aircraft/Student Pilot (must be approved by CD).
Entry: Club Members = free, Non-members = $5.00: Prizes awarded 1st & 2nd place.

  1. Engine-run limited to 45 seconds. Engine must "shut-off" completely.
  2. 10 minute flight = max.  Flight-time exceeding 10 minutes will be deducted from pilot's score. 
  3. Aircraft must have 'fixed-wheeled' landing gear, and rise-off-ground.
  4. Timer begins with wheels airborne & stops when wheels first touchdown.
  5. Bonus time awarded based on aircraft stopped-position relative to target-center.  <6'=+120 seconds, 6-18'=+60 seconds, 18-30'=+30 seconds.
  6. Best time, for three out of four attempts, will be scored. No practice flights allowed, during event window. Wheels airborne constitutes an 'official' attempt.
  7. Student Pilot entries (with Trainer aircraft) may utilize their assigned flight instructor, and buddy cord.
  8. Entry registration, anytime between Noon and 2:00PM. Flight-attempts, anytime between Noon and 3:00PM. Last flight must begin before 3:00PM.

.25 Pylon Racing:

Date: 06/26/02

Aircraft:

  1. Must be single-engine
  2. Must have integral landing-gear, and taxi & rise-off-ground
Engine:
  1. Must be throttled, stock muffler ONLY
  2. Not to exceed .25 cu.in. displacement
Fuel & Props:
  1. No restrictions
Registration:
  1. Opens at 12:30PM, closes at 1:30PM
Race:
  1. Begins at 1:30PM
  2. Two main Pylons 500' apart, with 'break' Pylon mid/east of centerline
  3. Four ten-lap heats, maximum of 5 aircraft per heat.
  4. All racers must finish all 10 laps, to receive heat position points.
