ConclusionHave you ever been afraid of what you did not understand? That fear can keep you from realizing your ability to solve real-world problems. What would you do if you weren't afraid? Sometimes the fear of the unknown can keep us from doing what it takes to make a difference in the world. When problems are layered with complications it is often "human-nature" that makes us want to hide and to stay ignorant and uninformed. Learning the facts and understanding the complicated factors that contribute to the conflict in the Middle East is one way that every citizen can stay involved in helping to achieve world peace.
Cultural literacy and religious sensitivity can add to that understanding and will help to reduce fear and anxiety regarding potentially volatile social issues. Allowing yourself to be open to the perspectives of other cultures, religious views, political protocol, and military standards will give you the insight needed for effectively communicating your position on conflict in the world. This insight will enable you to choose the right words when delivering your point of view so that key leaders will listen and take action.
Your credibility with these leaders and the other people you influence will remain strong as you stay informed of non-biased information about world events, problems, and conflict now and in the future. Your views for peaceful resolutions are important, especially during this time of terror and war. In developing these views, however, it is imperative that you are non-biased or persuaded by propaganda. Only through researching the topic objectively can you create a conflict resolution plan that is fair to all. This project has given you the opportunity to do just that.
