The Horses

    Nocturno

He is a handsome performance stallion with the manners of a gentleman. Always in the ribbons, Nocturno is a competitive performer in the show ring and is very willing to please.  His dam was the mother of the national Fino champion named Destiny, and his sire, Dibujo International, excited all those who saw him work.  An ideal mount for the competitive amateur, Nocturno will take to the trails with stamina and grace.  He passes his strong hocks and his good looks to his offspring.  He has sired two fillies.     Solsticia de Las Brisas

This rose gray mare with dark points and a small star foaled on the summer solstice.  Her bloodlines included double Chucuano and traced back to Pistolero.  Her stride was short, quick and low.  Her quick footed 2001 filly out of national and world champion, Pegaso que si, carries forward Solsticia's excellent conformation and the nobility of her sire.     Tesora de Las Brisas

This sweet gray mare with bloodlines back to Resorte III, Gaucho, and Pistolero can really do it!  She boasts blue ribbons in the Fino division at both the professional and amateur owner levels.  Successful in the Fino Amateur Owner Open division at the '96 Nationals, Tesora has quick feet, proud carriage, and a lot of hock.  Her action is high and purposeful, typical of the Colombian style Fino horses.  A delicate face with a heart of gold, Tesora has produced two bold colts. Gavilan de Las Brisas, her 2001 colt out of Pegaso que si, will soon be ready to start under saddle and is offered for sale to a potential show home. Cucuyo de Las Brisas
His name means "Firefly", and he really is as quick as lightning.  Born August 25, 1997, Cucuyo was conceived in the celebrations following a very successful show at the 1996 U.S. Nationals, where his sire,Tobias del Ocho, won '96 Reserve Grand National Fino Championship and his dam, Tesora, earned her ribbon in an open class of 26 Amateur Owner schooling fino horses.  Tobias is a son of Retorno by Resorte IV and Guarapa, a granddaughter of Bochica.  Tesora is out of the Resorte III and Pistolero lines.  Shown in open competition at the 2001 Nationals, Cucuyo displayed the presence one expects from these bloodlines and was noticed by two of the judges earning ratings of first and third place in his class of Pleasure Schooling Colts and Geldings.
