Alfred Lewis Scott

Notes: At the outbreak of the Civil War, Alfred was a planter in Alabama. Declining a commission, he enlisted as a private in Company G of the 9th Alabama infantry. Later he joined the staff of General Edward A. Perry of the Florida Brigade (Perry was married to Alfred's wife's sister).

Bradford Ripley Alden Scott

Notes: Named after one of his brother John's instructors and friends at West Point, he went by the name "Alden." He practiced law in Galveston, TX. After the Galveston flood destroyed his home in 1900, he moved his family to San Antonio.

Alden's sister Sarah Travers Lewis SCOTT married his wife's brother, Charles Harper ANDERSON.
