Notes: Bob Spence had known the McKellars in New Zealand while working on a sheep station near the McKellar's Brooksdale estate. He spent seven years establishing sheep ranches in Patagonia. In Mexico he engaged in ranching and mining. In later years he operated a farm near Palestine, Texas.
