On February 11, 2000, Spencer "became an angel" following his struggle with a brain tumor (glioma). His mother and father have begun a tribute to him by placing boxes of toys in childrens' hospitals. The boxes are called "Spencer's Treasures." The toys are to be distributed to other children who are undergoing treatment for serious illnesses.
