FlatheadTM Safety First Series Impalement Protection for Lightning Rods Retro-Fit Slip-on Assembly for Existing Systems National Lightning Protection has designed a new way to afford impalement protection for existing lightning protection systems where the removal and replacement of dangerous pointed lightning rods is uneconomical.  The FlatheadTM Retro-Fit Slip-on assemblies install quickly by simply sliding the sleeve over the pointed rod and tightening the set screws. This assembly is a UL Listed, CAL-OSHA approved step to providing a safe workplace.

OKC Electrical Contractors, Inc. is the sole Oklahoma distributor of these new UL and OSHA approved devices for lightning protection.

NEW INSTALLATION

The conventional lightning rod offers no protection against accidental impalement.

This device is UL listed and meets or exceeds NFPA 780, UL96, and UL96A requirements. We are one of the few contractors in the nation with ground testing and lightning protection services. We will test on site and present an evaluation of present grounding system as well as design and installation procedures for future improvements.
