| At the close of the school year, students in grades 1-8 are recognized for various achievements in school attendance and punctuality, church attendance, sports participation, music participation, Field Day achievements, and academic honors. |
Honor Roll - Students in grades 6-8 are placed on the academic honor roll each quarter by earning at least 4 A's or A-'s out of the 7 following subjects: Religion, English, Reading, Math, Social Studies, Science, and Spelling; and nothing lower than a B- in all subjects.
High Honors - Students in grades 6-8 earn the distinction of having high honors if they surpass the criteria of the academic honor roll by having A's or A-'s in all 7 subjects listed.
Valedictorian/Salutatorian - This academic honor goes to the two graduation 8th graders that have earned the highest combined GPA in both 7th grade and the first 3 quarters of 8th grade. If necessary, other tests such as the Explorer Test or standardized achievement test may be consulted. The student with the highest GPA will give the valedictorian speech on graduation Sunday, and the student with the second highest will give the salutatorian speech.
