This is an '84 Squire stratocaster with an EMG Pro
"David Gilmour" set up. The DG pro
has three EMG SA pickups.
This setup has no traditional tone controls.
Instead it has the EXG guitar expander control which
scoops the midrange and boosts the bass and treble. It also
has the SPC presence control which boosts the midrange and rolls
off the treble.
They come in handy, and make the guitar alot more versatile .
The guitar has a vintage style tailpiece with stamped
bridge pieces.
It has a four bolt neck and a small
style peghead with roller string trees.
It has the plugged head with the truss rod adjustment
at the heel.
Look under the word stratocaster, you can see
that the "made in japan" has been scratched out.
