Additional Event Information                     

3on3 Basketball Half court with two ten-minute halves.  The roster limit is ten.  Teams must be of the same sex.  Number of teams will determine the format of play.  Complete team rosters, along with entry forms and fees must be submitted by team captain/coach.  Mandatory managers meeting at 11:30 am at the designated playing location for your age group on the day of the event.
Bowling Singles, doubles, and Mixed Doubles.  Scratch scores.  A facility fee is required.  Doubles partners must qualify and play together.  There are no random pools.  One set of three games.  Hosted by 
Bridge Rubber - No separate Men's & Women's divisions.  Progressive contract rubber bridge will be played, the three highest scores will be declared winners.  Modified Chicago style scoring.  Divisions:  Open & Partners. 
Duplicate:  No separate Men's & Women's Divisions.  Open pairs duplicate bridge will be played, the three highest scores will be declared winners.  ACBL rules apply.  Divisions:  Open & Partners.
Checkers
Cycling 5 Kilometer and 10 Kilometer time trials.  20k and 40k Road Races.  Hosted by the City of Corpus Christi.
Creative 
Writing		 Categories: Short Story (2,000 words or less); Poetry (50 lines or less); Essay (800 words or less); Song (50 lines or less).  Entries must be typed and double-spaced and should have a cover sheet with author's name, address, telephone number, and the title of the entry.  Participants do not have to be present to compete in this event, but you must submit a game entry form with your writing entry prior to the deadline of February  xx, 2000 for this event.
Dominoes FORTY-TWO - No Separate Men's & Women's Divisions; age categories 50-64, 65-74, 75 and over.  The two persons who start as partners will play as such for all games.  The tournament will be progressive play.  "Nel-o", "Low Boy", "Plunge", or Seven" will not be played.  All teams will play through end of tournament.

Around The World		 Billiard congress of America 8-Ball rules will apply
Golf 18 hole game.  Green fee and cart fee are covered in Entry Fee.  U.S.G.A. rules will apply except as noted on score card.  shotgun start.  No handicaps.
Horseshoes Singles only.  Men 50-69 pitch 40 feet.  Women 75+ pitch 20 feet.  All others pitch 30 feet.  Horseshoes are available.  Format is double elimination cancellation scoring.  Hosted by
Racquet Ball Individual competition.  Matches are 2 games to 15 points with a tiebreaker, if necessary, to 11.  A.A.R.A. Rules are followed.  Eye guards are mandatory.  Play will be round Robin by Age Group.  In the event of a large number of entrants, play will be double elimination, or if needed, single elimination.  If there is an insufficient number of entrants in any one age group, age groups may be combined to afford play.  competition for medals will be by age group only.
Road Race 10 Kilometer and 5 Kilometer road race will have different start times.  Hosted by the City of Corpus Christi
Softball Ages 50+, 55+, 60+, and 70+ for men or women.  Bases will be  furnished, each team must provide other equipment.  Double elimination.  Teams will hit their own balls (Worth Restricted Flight Blue-dot Balls).  Individual registration forms for each team to be mailed in together.  Teams must be all of one gender.  All jersey's must be numbered with no duplicates per team.
Surfing
Swimming Freestyle - 50 meters, 100 meters.   Backstroke - 50 meters, 100 meters.  Breaststroke - 50 meters, 100 meters.  200 Individual Medley.  AAU rules will govern all swimming competition.  TSGSC reserves the right to modify rules to assist participants.  (No Diving Starts)  A second false start results in disqualification.
Table Tennis Singles, Doubles & Mixed Doubles.  U.S. Table Tennis Association Rules.  Play shall consist of a three (3) game match; winner will be first to win two games.  Balls only will be furnished.  Double elimination.
Tennis Singles, Doubles & Mixed Doubles.  Formats will be determined by number of entrants in each age category.  Partners entry forms should be mailed together.
Track&Field 50, 100, 200, 400, 800, and 1500 Meter Races; Discus; High Jump; Long Jump; Javelin; Shot Put; and Pole Vault.  Track events will be held on Saturday and the field events on Sunday.  Schedule available at registration.  Hosted by the City of Corpus Christi.
Volleyball Governed by U.S. Volleyball Association rules.  Rosters limited to fifteen (15) players; six players maximum on the court at a time.  Best of three (3) game match will advance.  Round Robin.  Individual registration forms for each team to be mailed in together.  Teams must be one gender, and wear jerseys with non matching numbers.
Washers Singles - Men's and Women's divisions.  50-64 and 65+ age groups.  single cup per end format.  A game consists of 21 points.  single elimination.  Each game allowed 30 pitches per player.  Scoring will be: three (3) points for in a cup; two (2) points for a leaner; and one (1) point for a lie closer than the opponent's within the box.  the highest number of points within the 30 pitches will determine winner in each category.  Washers provided.
Windsurfing

Please note:  All events have separate men's and women's divisions except Bridge, Dancing, and Dominoes.  Five year age groups unless otherwise noted.   We are striving to achieve standardization of all rules to coincide with the Texas Senior Games Association and the National Senior Games Association as this information is made available to us, but our main purpose is still to have a meet where everyone is encouraged to participate and enjoy
