Hail That Fell June 5,1996

The storm that produced this hail also spawned several tornadoes and strong straight line winds. The wind velocity at my house was in excess of 75 miles per hour. Over 3 inches of rain fell, with flash flooding in our area. This storm traveled from the northwest to the southeast which is atypical for this region. A good site for weather information is the Pleasant Hill National Weather Service at http://www.crh.noaa.gov/eax/eax.htm. Their interface is well designed and the information is timely. There is also a case study of the June 5th storm with radar images and other good info!
