This Kansas City reggae crew has it all going on strong with this six-song live release. It's a full-tilt island storm of rhythms and thrills combined with uplifting, heartfelt lyrics. Elisha Israel leads his shifting cast of musicians deep into the heart of the Caribbean for his particular politics of dancing, and manages to put the bounce right up front with his passions.
AZ One lights a fire, and the audience gladly jumps right in. The CD starts with a call-out to all the party people, "How You Doing Tonight." It's a challenge to the audience to grab hold and to hang on tight. It doesn't let up until the potent pulse of "No More War" rumbles to a halt.
The album's sound quality is surprisingly topnotch considering it was recorded live, with minimal drop-outs or feedback noticeable. In fact, if it wasn't for the audience acting up in places, it would be easy to forget that the music was performed live at all.
