What the press has to say...

Professor Shank
March 16, 2001
Club Viva, St. Louis, MO

Thanks to a glowing endorsement of this band, I checked them out this past Wednesday night at Viva and was knocked out as they really blew the place away.

They're a four piece, with keyboards, drums, bass and guitar. And they are one tight band. There was an older couple I was talking to before the show and the woman turned out to be the keyboardist's mother, so that was cool.

There are some really killer bands out there. And these guys were roots all the way.

The started off with a wicked instrumental and then proceeded to pack the dance floor with righteous rhythms. They were excellent.

"A local monument of traditional reggae, AZ-ONE, led by the charismatic Elisha Israel, does what the style calls for: it brings a message to the music."

Omni Entertainment Guide
1996-1997

Experience AZ-ONE. Few acts have as much fervor and feel as this top reggae group. Their explosive mixture and texture of traditional reggae leaves the audience dancing the night away with a feel of a Caribbean island. Tradition, culture, and great music, we be jammin', AZ-ONE..."

Grand Emporium Calendar
January 1997

"If you've not seen your resident reggae bands lately, you really need to check them out. Many are writing their own music and leading the way is AZ-ONE. Elisha Israel has put together a tight band which specializes in original songs and arrangements."
