Love as the basis
of morality
The buzzword today is values.
In fact some polls indicate that many Americans that voted in the 2004
presidential election chose whom to vote for based on “moral values”.
This though raises the question of what are Christian moral values? A saying
popularly attributed to Dostoevsky is "If God does not exist, everything
is permitted." Is everything permitted or is there a moral line that can’t,
or shouldn’t, be crossed? Does the bible provide us with a blueprint for
our day to day living? What if it doesn't provide us with a blueprint?
