I just got a free set of 3.08 gears that I am going to put in my 10 bolt.
I also bought an advance curve kit for my HEI.

I am in the process of installing the 3.08 gear in my 10 bolt. Photos soon.
I ended up having to replace all the bearings and seals (easier said than done).
Today I got my gear in for almost $90.

On the 4th (July) I got a used G.M. 350 bolt main crate motor for $350. It is stripped down to the bare block waiting for machine work. I am thinking about stroking it to a 383 torque monster.

July 21-I took the block to the machine shop the other day. I decided to go with the 383. I should have it back tomorrow.

Aug. 5, Well I got my block back today. Took a lot longer than I thought.

Late Sept., I went to a local car cruise. On the way back my engine started making funny noises. Well, I pulled the engine and tore it apart to find that all the main and rod bearings were worn down to the copper. I bought new Clevite77 bearings and a Fel-Pro gasket set for $70 and installed them without a hitch. The engine is finally ready to go back in the car and I hope to get that done soon.

July/13/2000, About a month or two ago my transmission went out. I now have a 2000 Chevy S-10 as a daily driver. Hopefully only a few months till my new 383.
