Estes kit purchased from Discovery Zone at half-price sale. Was also able to pick up two 48 packs of engines for half price. God seems to have really smiled on our rocket ventures. Have met some excellent folks who have been willing to help us get started, and came across some excellent deals. We've also launched in higher winds than I ever did as a kid, and recovered most of the rockets with minimal damage. Prepainted rocket with self adhesive decals. Plastic fin units, nose cone, adapter and launch lug unit. The last rocket Blake has built, again without coaching. Not the best job. I don't think he was really into building that day. This one uses the mini-engines, so launching this one will be a first for both Blake and me.

First flight - Brad's place. Terrible flight. Flew on an A10-4T and it looped all over the place. Very scary. After we flew it, I got an email from someone who looked at our web site and told us to be careful flying the rocket. He had the same experience we did on his first flight. He suggested using the smaller engine and cutting off the engine hook as it interfered with the thrust. Gail printed off the email and then deleted it, but the email address wasn't on it. So, I don't know who the guy was, but thanks for trying to let me know.
