After graduation from North Shore High School in 1981, Mark attended the Houston Police Academy and San Jacinto College.  Mark has been with HPD since graduation from the Police Academy in 1983.  During his career, he received more than 40 commendations and awards, most notably, being chosen as "Officer of the Year" by the One hundred club of Houston.  Mark was again, in 1985 named "Officer of the Year" by a police officer association, (an organization representing employees with the HPD) for his work while assigned to the public integrity review group.  After 16 year with HPD Mark, has traded his badge for an executive nameplate.  Mark is now a Private Investigator and is Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mark W. Stephens & Associates, LLC  and has a  CHS III Certification Homeland Security

Mark conducts site security surveys for corporate clients and then issues a detailed report to the client, including recommendations for overcoming defined weaknesses.  Mark will do internal follow-up investigations.  Other service includes providing security guards, background checks and drug testing services.   Mark is providing homebuilders with asset protection.  Mark has been featured several times on Channel 11 KHOU-TV Defenders and Good Morning America  Reports for some of his investigations and work.      About Mark and Mark W.
