Here’s How You Can Help “Get the Word Out” About Christian Unity and/or this Christian Unity Prayer

· First, join the CUC, Christian Unity Conference, email discussion group. You’ll see the links in the Introduction to the Christian Unity Prayer. In this way you can actively participate in advancing our understanding of Christian unity in general, and if you like, you can discuss the further creation and development of the Christian Unity Prayer, itself. The purpose is to discuss any Christian topic you want, especially ones that might be important for unity in Jesus, and anything that helps build bridges between Christian denominations and groups.

· Next, tell your friends about this website, especially Christian friends. Send it to every Christian in your address book. Tell your pastor about it. Tell the deacons or elders, or other members at your church about it. Send them an email with the address, or just copy any or all of the prayer, and give them a printed copy. It doesn’t hurt to tell non-Christians about it, but only if you think they might be interested.

· Post a notice about it on any Christian mailing list, or send it to any Christian newsgroup or Christian magazine of which you are a member or subscriber.

· Important: do not “spam” anyone!!! Send only to people, websites, newsgroups, mailing lists, or magazines that you know, for sure, will be glad to hear an important Christian message!! Do not send this blindly to non-Christians you do not know! And never send it as an attachment.

· The best general thing to send out is the “Important Christian Questions” page. This lets people know what this website and this mailing list are all about, and lets them decide for themselves if they are interested in any of it or not, before they bother to click on it. If you are involved in a discussion about the subject by email or on a newsgroup, you may want to send just one of the Prayer Parts as commentary, all of which have been kept to a reasonably small size for emailing or posting. You could instead send only the address of the main page, and tell people what Part number to look for. Or you may want to send just a line or two of one of the Parts, and tell people what the address is if they want to see the whole thing.

When you send any of these, copy what you want to send and paste it into the body of your email so it won’t be sent as an attachment. This is important because people are afraid to open attachments. · If you are part of a Christian unity ministry, please, please, join the CUC discussion group. You’ll see the links in the Introduction to the Christian Unity Prayer. We need your input and your help, of all Christians interested in Christian unity and especially those interested in the ministry. We just think it would be great if all Christians interested in Christian unity could, themselves, unite in discussion and prayer for Christian unity on a continual basis.

There is no self-interest in this CUC email list discussion group, either by any ministry, denomination, or group. We don’t own it, and no one derives income from it. The list owner is graciously allowing us to use it.

The CUC is just an excellent place for all Christians, as well as Christian unity ministries, to let their own direction and efforts be known, and to share ideas and insights with other Christians that are already genuinely interested in Christian unity. (We don’t want to see spam to sell anything, although we’re glad to hear about where to buy on-topic books if you quote from them or tell us what they have to do with Christian unity). But all Christian ministries are strongly encouraged to include information on their own ministry and links to ministry websites in every post they make, and to take every opportunity to tell the group all about their own service to the body of Christ.)

The CUPP is a freely available prayer, a combined Christian unity effort in progress, intended to stimulate constructive Christian conversation and to help us all go together to God in prayer, to submit ourselves to His will for Christian unity. Also we would be happy to exchange links with you to your Christian unity website, just contact us by email to cuprayer@hotmail.com . Remember, you are welcome to copy any or all of the prayer and post it on your website, or use it for any Christian purpose. Feel free to link to the Prayer Main Page, or to any of the Prayer Parts. Also, if you don’t like any part of the prayer, rewrite it as the Spirit leads you, and post your own version of the prayer on your own website! Anything to glorify Jesus is fine with us!!
