Introduction
SOVLog is a program that monitors Microsoft® AllegianceTM and reacts whenever new users are identified or chat messages generated. If a user's name is found to contain color codes then it removes them making it possible to private message the person. SOVLog is built upon the core of the retired SOVGuard program, assuming its ability to capture and log chat messages and easily take screen shots. The creator of this program is in no way affiliated with Microsoft. Microsoft is a registered trademark of Microsoft Corporation. Allegiance is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation.
How to use it
Launch SOVLog and it will immediately begin watching for Allegiance. As soon as it locates it then it will attach to it as a debug monitor inspecting the flow of chat traffic. It is imperative that you use the –nod parameter or else Microsoft’s Crash Guard will get the exclusive ability to monitor Allegiance instead of SOVLog. The easiest way to ensure this is to launch Allegiance from within SOVLog.
Troubleshooting and Information
Read the directions. Launch Allegiance using the "File/Launch Allegiance..." option of SOVLog so that you use a -nod parameter. If you don't then you'll get the following message in the SOVLog window:
DebugActiveProcess failed rc=87 [DID YOU USE THE -nod SWITCH?]
Uninstalling this stupid program
Hey, just cause I like it doesn’t mean you will! I don’t store anything in the registry so simply delete the following four files: SOVLog.exe, SOVLog.hlp and SOVLog.ini and SOVLog.dat.
Reporting Bugs and Feedback
If you encounter a problem while running SOVLog please send an e-mail to VenCain@hotmail.com. Please let me know the version of SOVLog which you are running (click on Help then About). First though, please check the site you go this from to see if there is a newer version. I might have already fixed your problem.
